Hi, am planning to travel during Aug 6-12, want to do island hopping, some local tourism along with scuba diving, would you be able to accommodate?

Yes we have our own PADI 5star diving center. We organise both private and public Island hopping tours and can recomend places to see and visit around Coron. We also arrange motor bike hire if you want to go off on your own.

Is construction finished on the property (ie the pools finished) yet? If not, when will it be completed?

Yes the pool is completed. We do have some construction that will continue for some time as we add more rooms, but that will be mainly to the rear of the premises and away from guests, so guests really shouldnt have any disturbance

So swimming pool is available for swimming?

Yes our pool is open for all guest to use from 7am until 11pm 😊

Hi, can we use one bungalow for my family of 3? We don’t want to be separated. You can charge 1 extra bed cushion if ok.

We can accommodate an extra mattras in our two larger rooms, the superior bungalow and bungalow with a garden view.

I'm flying from Manila. Is an antigen covid test required to enter Coron? Is antigen test available nearby your hotel for my departure flight?

No, so long as you are vaccinated all you need to enter Coron is a vaccination card. A copy of this must be uploaded on SPAS.ph with ID , accommodation and activity vouchers

What was the highlight of Pirates Diving Resort Coron

This is a good hostel that gives one value for money. The friendly people, the clean rooms are a big plus.

The room was cozy and the staff would clean it everyday and replenish the towels and toiletries, etc. And it was near the only two familiar fastfood franchises in town, McDonald’s and Andok’s, and a lobster restaurant just a few meters away. The owners, Paul and Janeth were very accommodating, as were their staff.

The wifi wasn’t too good in our cottage. Would also have been nice if the room and bathroom had more hooks to hang wet clothes, and some hanging shelves on the bedroom wall for our personal effects would be appreciated. A generator is badly needed, or windows that could be opened for air/ventilation in times of brownouts.

I initially booked for 2 nights, but booking.com was not allowing me to modify the first booking I made, so I made an extension booking) All of the staff including the owners are very accommodating. Since it was our first time in Coron, I had a lot of questions and they never got annoyed of me. Haha! We stayed a total of 5D/4N. It's great they have their own diving school, we tried scuba diving as beginners and we both enjoyed it. The trainer was very patient with me. They also helped us booking our Safari tour. The location of the resort is great for me, just about right for some privacy but not too far from the selection of restaurants/bar in town.

Good value for money, great vibes, short scooter ride into town.

Awesome pool and vibe. Staff comes in and makes your room up while you're gone. Dive masters were very experienced and took us to awesome sites.

Thatch roofs will let in local wildlife occasionally. We had a medium sized gecko on our roof, we named him Greg.

Friendly diving resort with good location

the location was very practical, next to the high street and the port. Paul the owner was very welcoming and the staff friendly. Bathroom is good size and hot shower works!! Transfers well organised and the diving centre seems well organised too ( unfortunately I was unable to use their services)

Rooms are slightly small and basic and the place needs a bit of TLC. Specially the pool needs a makeover.

staff were great and nice and clean rooms

bed was a bit uncomfortable and the location is a 15 min walk to the town centre. It’s not too much of an issue as it’s only a 40 (1$)paseo trike.

Wonderful people

We loved how great the decor was; especially all the beautiful plants around the huts. Paul was also really accommodating; he got my 2 friends certified in the time we had by organising the course well. They also threw in an extra free dive for both of them as I was doing fun dives at the time. Their dive master Arthur is also fantastic. He was extremely helpful, accommodating and along with Paul, really made sure my GoPro didn’t go missing when I forgot it on the boat between diving days. I would definitely dive and stay with these guys again if I was in Coron.

Fine but overpriced

Comfortable enough stay in busy Coron.

An overpriced stay - the rooms are fine, but really small, and the price didn’t match the quality of the stay. The hotel is fairly out of town, which is ok if you’re happy to walk or take a tricycle but not very handy for restaurants or the port.

The treehouse was so much fun!! Definitely something you have to try at least once in a lifetime.

We would have liked the staff to talk to us about the diving options / facilities available - nothing was explained and the diving staff didn’t speak to us.

The Caban in the tree was nice but not clean. The floor was dirty. The bathroom is really small and we found a huge lezard in our room in the morning : it could be normal when you live on a tree but I think he was here when we arrived. The breakfast is not included. Pool is nice

Good little hide away

New, clean place. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The owner Paul is a friendly guy, never shy of a conversation. They’re busy building/improving the place, already looks fine to be honest but they’ve got more plans. The rooms are good and comfortable. Good quality for the price. They arranged a dive trip for us last minute which was highly appreciated! Just a few minutes away from some good restaurants. Would definitely stay again.

very nice, friendly atmosphere and bedrooms were very clean and good air-con

they were really friendly. we did our PADI course here too which was so good as it was done very well and with a lot of ease. I definitely recommend doing scuba diving here, the lunch on board the boat was also amazing

the pool was a little dirty but I know it was on Paul’s list to do and since covid they have been low on funds so it didn’t bother us too much

Disappointing

The owner was a pleasant person. The free breakfast was a nice touch.

The room was worn out, the towels were stained, the bedsheets had seem better days. The bathroom was uncomfortable and the aircon was noisy. There was a karaoke stage right behind the bungalow's wall, so I wouldn't sleep at night.
